5. Email providers and recipients
An authenticated SMTP email provider transmits the notification, and receiving mail services handle delivery and mailbox storage. Enquiries are delivered to the enquiry mailboxes of the business, and a copy may also reach the developer or maintainer of this website so that delivery can be confirmed and enquiries are not missed. Access to those mailboxes should be limited to people authorised to handle enquiries or maintain the website. Email providers and hosting/infrastructure providers may process information under their own terms, security practices and privacy policies.
6. Retention and security
Enquiry details may remain in recipient mailboxes for as long as needed to respond, manage the potential or agreed project, and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Mailbox owners should use appropriate access and retention controls. The website uses reasonable technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
